Charles Andrew Mixson, son of William C. and Martha Law Mixson, was b. in Coffee County, AL, Nov. 13, 1871, d. at Kirbyville, TX, Sept. 14, 1942, bur. Kirbyville City Cemetery, Kirbyville, TX. He went to Texas early in his twenties and engaged in sawmilling for awhile, but soon joined his brother, James M. Mixson at the Kirbyville Mixson Bros. store, buying an interest in same. He was in charge of the gin and fertilizer end of the business.

About 1907, he m. Arabelle Singletary - b. Nov. 6, 1876, d. Feb. 11, 1956,bur. Kirbyville City Cemetery, Kirbyville, TX. No Children of their own, but did adopt:

Millard Franklin Mixson, son of William C. and Martha Law Mixson, was b. in Coffee County, AL, Dec. 3, 1875, d. May 20, 1937, at Tuscaloosa, AL His entire business life was spent as an assistant in the U.S. Govt, War Dept., Warrior-Tombigbee Waterways. After his death, one of the river boats was named the "Mixson" in his memory (See the Birmingham News, Aug. 21, 1961 issue). He was m. to Earle Phifer, b. Nov 19, 1877, d. Dec. 19, 1960 at Tuscaloosa.
