Aug. 1, 1941. Both bur. Hamilton City Cemetery. Hamilton, AL.  George graduated from West Alabama Agricultural School in Hamilton in 1900.  He then attended the University of Alabama Medical College in Mobile, graduating from medical school in 1904 and opening a practice in Hackleburg. Dr. Mixson was one of five aldermen elected after Hackleburg was incorporated on August 23, 1909.
