Henry Harrison Mixon, s. of Benjamin Franklin and Elizabeth Welch Mixon, was b. in Perry County, MS, Mar. 10, 1858 Perry County, MS, d. Sept. 28, 1940 Perry County, MS. On Aug. 21, 1888, he m. Mary Dicy Stewart - b. Aug. 21, 1868, d. Oct. 13, 1934, dau. of Elliott and Nancy Ferguson Stewart. The wedding was held at the home of Mr. Mixon's sister, Martha Jane Ferguson. Henry was taught to be a typesetter at the orphanage at Lauderdale. He worked as a printer's devil for Dr. Baylis at Waynesboro and Ellisville. He was a Justice of the Peace around 1917.  Both bur. Ferguson Cemetery, Perry County, MS.
