Mrs. Jones graduated from Centenary College, Shreveport, La., and from University Southwest Louisiana, Lafayette, La. Rev. Jones attended L.S.U., Baton Rouge, La. Graduated from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in May of 1938. John McLaughlin Mixon, s. of John Ira and Fanny C. McLaughlin Mixon, was b. in Perry County, MS, Nov. 12, 1898, d. Dec. 13, 1965. He was a veteran of World War I and World War II. Educated at Runnellston Schools and Mississippi State Teachers College (1922), was one time associated with Lindsey Wagon Company of Larel, MS, and in June 1922, he m. Velma Jewel Hill. Earl Raymond Mixon, s. of John Ira and Fanny C. McLaughlin Mixon, was b. in Perry County, MS, Dec. 28, 1900, d. May 25, 1969, bur. Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Denver County, CO . A high school graduate, he took special courses for two and a half years at Ohio University, and from 1920 has made the U.S. Army a career, retiring in 1951 with the rank of Major. He m.
