Thomas Daniel Asbury Mixon, s. of John and Martha Windham Mixon, was b. in Darlington District, SC, 1815, d.. Jun 7, 1904, the marriage records of Henry County, AL show a license grant to "Rasberry" Mixon and Lucinda Grantham. The 1860 census records Thomas D., wife Elizabeth and Julia A. age 15. in of Choctaw County, AL, where he had some land grants in the 1850's. The 1870 Census, Beat 4, Neshoba, Mississippi shows household with Mixon’s Zelphia L. age 53, Thomas A. age 18, Ida E. age 16, Edward F. age 14, Willie F. age 7 and Martha Minnie age 75 (probably his mother).  The 1880 Census Livingston, Madison, Mississippi shows Thomas age 66, Zilpha age 62.   He shows up in Henry County, AL also during the 1850's when he witnesses one or two deeds on behalf of one of his brothers. His wife is listed in that census as Elizabeth. She could have been "Elizabeth Lucinda" or else have been the second wife. From information sent in by Mrs. Julian B. Neel of Thomasville, Ga., he m. Zelpa (Zelphia L. in 1970 census)  Lucinda Ann Grantham, Henry County, Ala., Nov. 25, 1835. There must have been more children other than listed below.  Since the 1860 census listed wife as Elizabeth and the 1870 census as Zelphia the following children are probably with Elizabeth .

George Ichabod Mixon, s. of John and Martha Windham Mixon, was b. in Darlington District, S.C., 1817, d. Jun 7, 1904. About 1840, he m. Mary A. Truett, a native of Darlington District. The couple settled first in Henry County, AL; bought lands located near the northern boundary of the county near Barbour County, later sold same. Listed in the 1850 census of Henry County, and in the 1860 census of Choctaw County, AL Probably all children (except the last) were b. in Henry County. He bought Public Lands in Choctaw County, but is not shown there in 1870 census. The 1880 census of Clarke County, Miss. lists them. Shown with them in the 1860 census of Choctaw County, AL is Martha Windham, age 65.  .   Bur. Oakdale United Methodist Church Cemetery, Sanford, Covington County, MS

Elijah Bird Mixon, s. of John and Martha Windham Mixon, was b. in Darlington District, S.C., 1823, d. in Choctaw County, AL, ca. 1859. On Feb. 16, 1842, he m. Sarah “Sally” Wells in Henry County, AL He and family had moved to Choctaw County, AL in the 1850's and bought Public Lands at or near same time his two older brothers bought lands. He had bought lands in Henry County and sold same before moving from there. Possibly all children were b. in Henry County.
