It was at the latter place she met her future husband to be, Everett Clay Brannon, Jr., b. Aug 23, 1922, d. Apr 21, 1999, a young attorney, the son of Everett Clay Brannon, Sr., a prominent attorney of Gainesville. The wedding took place at the Ozark Baptist Church, August 10, 1945.  Both bur. Alta Vista Cemetery, Gainesville, Hall County, GA. Children:

9401 Thomas Everett Brannon - b. Aug. 5, 1946 in a Dothan, Alabama, hospital. He is a graduate of the Gainesville, Georgia, High School, and of Truett-McConnell College at Cleveland, Ga. He also attended the West Georgia College at Carrollton, Ga. On Dec. 20, 1969, he m. Jean Ann Thompson of Gainesville, the dau. of John and Ann Thompson, prominent pioneer residents of Gainesville. Jean is a beautiful and lovely person and is the type to make use of her time and opportunities. In 1970 she accepted a position with a local bank and took courses in architecture two nights each week. She resigned that position in 1971 and accepted a position with an expensive interior decorative company, the owner being considered one of the best artists in his line. Jean is proving to be a most valuable asset to the firm. Jean was b. August 23, 1949 and is a graduate of Gainesville High School. The family lives at Gainesville, where Mr. Brannon has a position with the State Highway Department.

9402 John Richardson Brannon was b. Jan. 20, 1948 in an Atlanta hospital. lie is a graduate of Truett-McConnell College at Cleveland, Ga., and of the University of Georgia, 1971. He will remain at the university to pursue studies in law. He is a Marine reservist and has taken special training at Paris Island, South Carolina.

Harry Nelson Mixon, son of John Monroe and Julia Williamson Mixon, was b. at Ozark, AL, Nov. 9, 1910, d. July20, 1961. He was a businessman always interested in many phases of the Civic and Educational affairs of his city and had served on the Board of Trustees of the City School System for a number of years. "The Harry Mixon School" was named in his honor. On May 5, 1929, he m. Annie Smith Balckom, b. Feb. 6, 1911, d. Feb 11, 1992.  Both bur. Westview Cemetery, Ozark, Dale County, AL.  Their children:
