2584 CHARLES W. MIXSON, JEREMIAH MIXSON II (2579), JEREMIAH MIXSON I (2578)

Charles W. Mixson, s. of Jeremiah and Elizabeth Wilder Mixson, was b. in Chowan County, N.C. in 1803, date and place of death unknown. In 1825, he m. Mary Ann Raynor, dau, of Miles and Celia Raynor. Mr. Raynor had died and left a sizable estate which included lands in north AL Suit was brought by the Mixsons against the Administrator and his bondsmen to recover what was due them from this property in the Madison County, AL courts, and were awarded $2690.59. (Madison County Records, Book M, p. 73).

Note: In 1759, Timothy Allen of Beaufort County made his will, naming his wife Rebecca, children - Ephraim, Martha, Prudence, Salathiel, Jeremiah and Elizabeth. All, or nearly all these given names are common to both families.
