Magnesia Springs was a popular swimming place until the mid-1970’s. The Kelly family owned and operated the spring from 1928 to 1964 when they sold it to the Reber family who then continued to operate it until 1974 when they closed it to the public and leased it to Gymmos Health Club who operated it as a nudist club.
