Billy and the Turkey Shoot
A Thanksgiving Story
By Danny Tillman

Sonny tells Albey about the Knife Lady!

What man of you
Having a hundred sheep
If he lose one of them
Does not leave
The ninety and nine in the wilderness
And go after
That which is lost
Until he find it?
And when he has found it
He lays it on his shoulders
Rejoicing
And when he comes home
He calls together
His friends and neighbors
Saying unto them
Rejoice with me
For I have found my sheep
Which was lost…
For the Son of Man
Is come to save
That which was lost.

As Albey had stated on Saturday, his group was serving the Great Turkey to everyone, and there was also venison. It was really starting to look like an Indian and Pilgrim Thanksgiving, and like I said before, Albey was just walking from the chow wagons toward the lawn, when Sonny came up to him. Albey stopped, got down on one knee and asked,

"What's the matter, Son?" because Sonny has a real concerned look on his face.

"Mr. Yark, Sir, can you help the Knife Lady, please sir?"

"Tell me about this Knife Lady of yours, Son."

Sonny began to tell Albey about her, and added,

"I don't think she's coming to the Thanksgiving dinner."
