Alley Cat
In March of 2011 I got a new cat. After both Nebie then Bob died the house really seemed empty and so I told Anne I would like to get another cat. Being a veterinarian, she is always coming across cats that need a good home and it didn’t take her long to find one. Someone had brought in a stray cat that they had found in the alley behind their house.  After examining it, finding it a female, less than a year old and in good health, she called me and the following day I brought her home and named her Alley Cat, or more often, just “Alley”.

Shortly after getting Alley I told Anne I would like another one to keep Alley company while I was at work and a couple of weeks later Anne calls me and tells me she has found one, a male about the same age as Alley.  Again, a stray that someone had taken in but it didn’t get along with their existing cats so was looking for a new home for it.  The following weekend I drove over to their house and picked him up. In some ways he reminded me of Bob but couldn’t name him Bob so I named him Buddy. x
