Note:
Note the address crossed out. Barbara and her family already left Wayland to go see her father's family so the letter was forward to Mary Junior in Sturegeon Bay, Wisconsin. On the back was a second post mark "Wayland Mich. July 27, 1949"

Hi Honey,
I’ve just woke up so if my letter sounds crazy you’ll know why. I went over to play ball with some of the Feasters and we did play for awhile. It started raining so I came home and went to sleep. I’ll go to church tonight if I’ve got enough energy left.
I didn’t find out anything about the wreck Sat. If they don’t soon do something I’ll go to court with it. They still have my car down there (the one I was going to buy). The man said he was going to fix it up a little better. I saw Jimmie and wouldn’t have his job for nothing. I stayed there part of the afternoon and we went to the show. It sure was a good show. Tell Sue Jimmy is being a good boy as far as I know. He doesn’t have much time off but he doesn’t do anything. You should see him with his bow ties.
Honey I went down and looked over the church today. They have it almost finished.
Our company left this morning, hope noby else comes anytime soon.,
Darling I hope you come home soon it gets mighty lonesome around here espceilly on Sunday and Sat. You’re been gone to long now so tell your I said send you home. I know they will. I still don’t have a picture of you
Love Always
Morris
P.S.
Time go go to church
