Note:

Morris dated this letter July 30th but mailed it the next day.  It arrived in Wisconsin after Barbara and her family had left to return to Florida so it was forwarded to Oklawaha Florida and then was re-postmarked Sturgeon Bay.  On it is written "c/o Chenille Mart, RR #4" which is reference to Barbara's father's roadside business in Oklawaha.  Barbara would not have read this letter until they got back to Florida.

Morris must have been visiting Jimmy at the Furneral home.

Hi Honey,

Well Honey I’m going to sleep in the funeral home tonight, no bodies around.  We have just got back from the show.  I saw some girl that mush have been from Weirsdale.  She spoke to me and ask me if that was Jimmie with me.  I don’t know who she was.  It was raining and we were waiting on a cab.

Jimmie said tell Sue to write more, he didn’t get a letter today.  I don’t know if I got one or not, haven’t been home.  I’m trying to get some thing done to my car.  They tell me all I can do is have his drivers license taken away and he can’t get them back until he pays the damage.  I’m going to see a lawyer and see if I can’t attach a claim on to the truck for the damage.  It doesn’t look like I’m going to get paid on time this month.  All people working for the Univ. that got raises will be late getting paid.  Our raise went though the board of control, but the State says they can’t afford it so they have to make out a new payroll and that takes a lot of time.  That keeps me from trading cars this month.

Well Darling I’m on a standstill as what to write.  Better hurry home.  Darling I was just beginning to find out how lovable you could be when you left, so hurry home I might forget.  I miss you a lot.

Love Always
Morris
