Dearest Darling,

Were you mad at my other letter?  I thought you might be, so I though I’d better write and tell you I really didn’t mean what I said about coming up with Alan or Wayne.  Honest.  I was just kidding.  But I did want you to write me and Mary Ann suggested I tell you that.  The brat got my letter that I wrote you yesterday and read every bit of it.  I couldn’t get it away from her as I though I would tear it , and we only had a few minutes before the bell.  Well anyway I hope you understand.  Have you seen your girl friend on the campus benches any yet this week?

Gosh, we had a stiff test in literature today.  I left out two questions entirely.  My brain refused to work!  All my mind would do was to sing “Don’t Fence Me In.”  Nuts, ain’t I?  Tomorrow and Thurs. Spanish test and they are going to be hard too.

We have a game tonight but Mom & dad are going to Ocala so I have no way to go.  Besides they probably won’t let me anyway.

And guess what! No date Sat. nite!  We are going to St. Pete. Sunday early (in time to go to church) and visit the college.  I hope daddy don’t try and enroll me for Sept.  If he does, I’m going to throw a fit.  Oh year, mom said we could NOT go out Sat. night cause she wasn’t going to have us sleepy all day Sun.  Well all the better for you, you can save your money!  Besides the show wasn’t any good anyway in Ocala.  Oh, maybe you can come down the next Tues. or Wed. Night then. We’ll see.

Darling, I can’t think of anything else to say so I’ll close.  And I hope you feel ashamed for me writing you twice, and you not any.  I’ll expect a letter Thurs.

On, yes I’ll see you Fri. nite at Anthony at 7:30.

Love you forever & forever,
Yours only, Barbara

P.S.

   Really I love you yet.
  Do you still love me?
P.S.S.
Please take notice of pen and stationery; it’s moms.

A long letter from you too!   No short thing. Love you lots and lots.
