Dearest Darling,

I’m so mad!  That LuJean just gave me my spelling test and I made 84.  Missed 16 out of 100 and all that studying, too.  The mean thing gave me the hardest ones.  I studied the test that Mrs. Dowdy gave the other kids, but she gave me the old real hard one.

I’m so disgusted anyway.  All I do is history and then I never get caught up with the stuff.  I could quit school!

By, the way, we play Umatilla tomorrow night, so darling I hope you get this, so you don’t come up.  Reddick game is Friday night. Dixie & Sue were right, but I could have sworn it wasn’t.  Anyway, I hope you only get this.  Darling, I’m going with Martha William’s family.

Well, I still have to do Spanish, so I’ll close.

Love you lots
Barbara

P.S. I’m still mad!

I’m so sick of school, that I’d enjoy quiting.
