Weirsdale, Fla.
Dearest Morris,
Well, here I am, and this is the first chance I’ve had to write.
Boy the kids here at school took it real good. At first they didn’t
believe it, but after a lot of talking and explaining they believed
it. Joyce was so mad, cause Sue didn’t let her know so she and
Wyndall could have gotten married too. Joyce said, “Is it that
easy, and here I thought you had to go all the way to GA!”
Pat told me that preacher that married them was holding a meeting in
a tent, and they went there and were married in the
tent!
Imagine!!!
Oh, yes if we win - its Friday afternoon instead of Thursday, my
fault – Fri. afternoon we play Fri. nite after us. Mr.
Armstrong said we could go with him, and he’s staying over for the
nite games if we loose or win! So I’ll expect you at 7:30 Friday
nite. By the way Betty and Billy are being married Fri. or Sat.
nite at our house! But darling, we’re going to the game. I don’t
know who will be the witness, Billy didn’t say. He didn’t ask you,
did he? I hope he doesn’t cause I want to go to go to the game.
Anyway I’ll expect you Friday at 7:30 at Dunnellon.
Gosh, I got so much homework too do, its’ pitiful! Mr. & Mrs.
Mr. & Mrs. James Darlington Mixson and M. M. Mixson are coming up
tonight. (To plan their future, ha! ha!) I wonder if they would do
that for us? Well, some day we’ll know. Luckly Sue, were having a
Spanish test tomorrow; she doesn’t have to study for it. Well, some
day I won’t have to either.
I’ll close for now, remember I still love you. You had better
answer this.
Love you lots
Barbara
