Dear Sweetheart

Written with a  pencil, sealed with a kiss, if you love me tell me this.  I dream our eyes have met, but don’t worry for what dreams say, I’ll get you yet.  Of all the boys I’ve met, you’re the one, I can’t forget.  Your love is like a lump of gold, hard to get, and hard to hold.  This is my love letter dear; I would express it better if you were near.

Love and kisses
Barbara

P.S. Absence makes the heart grow   fonder. That is why I long for you,   lonely through the night I wonder if   you darling, love me too.

Dearest darling,

Ain’t this letter cute?  I got it from Dixie, so don’t blame me.  I’m in study hall now.  Darling, Joyce Wyndall & I decided today for us to go to W____ Springs one week from this Sunday; that is if nothing happens.  That’s O.K. isn’t it?  I’m having the worst time writing this!  Joyce is sitting across from me, and we keep talking, when Armstrong isn’t looking.  Well it’s the next period and I still haven’t finished this.  Darling, there isn’t much today so I’ll close for now.  I love you with all my heart.

Love always & always
Barbara

P.S.
I’ll see you Thurs. nite, and I’ll expect a letter from your tomorrow afternoon or Wed. morning.  Love you lots & lots. Barbara.

P.S.S.
Gosh, did my legs ache today.  There’re not so bad now, but his morning I could hardly walk! Never again!!
