My dearest darling,
Well darling we had quite a day today. All morning we
registered – classes start tomorrow. It’s really lots of fun here.
But I got so hungry I nearly died. (I don’t like their cooking)
After we registered it was too late to go into town so there’s a big
A and P grocery store right across from the church. So we went over
there and I bought 1 box of candy, 1 box of cookies, 4 pears, 1 pk.
potato chips, and I ate 2 donuts and bought 4 back. So I shouldn’t
starve!
Gosh, I couldn’t sleep last nite at all. It was so hot! But now
I’m sitting by the window and the least breeze is coming in.
Our classes only last until 12:30. The bus brings us home then; we
eat and then we’re free to do anything until 6 when it’s supper
time. I’m going to try and get me a job later on. Next month for
sure.
I still have to pay for my pots you know. Darling if I don’t get a
job, could you pay the payment on them for the first of Oct.? I
wrote and asked the man to cut down the payments to about $8, a
month. So that’s all wit would be. Darling if you don’t want,
please let me know. But It sure would help.
Well lights out in 15 min. so I have to hurry.
I know you have forgiven me and you still love me. Remember darling
I still love you lots and forever and ever. I couldn’t stop loving
you if I tried, so please wait for me.
Lots of Love,
Your future wife
love & kisses
Barbara
P.S.
Darling please write me.
I’ll see you in about 2 weeks my honey.
