PREFACE

     The following story was written in long-hand by my mother-in-law, Rosalie Mixson Yawn, at the age of seventy-three. I attempted to type it in the same manner, format, and spelling as she wrote it so it would seem as though she was telling her story to us. My aim in typing this is to pass on to my children the history of the Mixson's. I hope that each one of you will begin to write down your life story, so that someday you will be able to add to this, then you will be able to pass it to your children and our family history will be preserved.
