Elijah Mixon, Jr., son of Elijah Mixon, Sr., and his wife, was b. in Beaufort County, NC, ca. 1775, and died there, intestate, early 1809. He married ca. 1800 to Lucretia Price, dau. of William Price, b. abt 1775, d. 1812 in Beaufort, Co. NC

William Price, Sr. had a will dated in 1793 naming his wife and children - three the daughters being Allis, Lucretia and Mary.

The March, 1809 Court of Beaufort County appointed Lucretia as administratrix of her deceased husband's estate. Bond was 1000 pounds, and William Price (Jr.) and William Windley were her securities. Her accounts were audited and filed at the 1811 Court held in Sep of that year.

The 1810 Census shows Lucretia Mixon with two children, one son and one daughter under age 10, and one slave. On March 28, 1811, she executed a deed of gift to her two children, Lavinia and William Mixon, to her negro slave "Nan", id to all, household and other personal property. The deed was witnessed by His Bynum (Lucretia's older sister) and by Abraham Bynum, husband of Allis. The deed was filed at the March 1812 County Court and proved by Abraham Bynum.
