Seaborn Asbury Few Mixon, son of Asbury Coke and Sarah A.R. Aikin Mixon, was b. in Newton Co., GA, Nov 10, 1850, d. Nov 23, 1885. In Dec 21, 1875, he m. Sallie Boneta Shepherd, b. Oct 25, 1850, d. Mar 27, 1896. She left a will dated Mar 31, 1891, filed in Newton County records, naming the following children.

Fletcher Brandon Mixon, son of Rev. Jesse Fletcher and Georgia E. Smith Mixon, was b. at Thomasville, GA, Dec 3, 1871, d. Jun 20, 1936, in Atlanta, GA (A.B., Emory, 1891). For a number of years he was founder and president of the Mixon School of Commerce at Daytona Beach, FL, and also owned and operated Mixon Printing Company there.

 

By 1929, he had moved to Rome, GA, where he founded the Hill City Commercial School. A few years later, he moved to Atlanta, where he taught for o. awhile in the Darlington School. On Jun 20, 1895, he m. Ada T. Little, a native of Eatonton, GA, and a graduate of Peabody College.
