(After Mr. Mixon's death in 1918, his widow married Fred C. Gibson). Court records indicate that Michael Nixon had left a will in which he named John H. Ellis, executor, who had qualified. However, it became necessary later to have an administrator appointed. The oldest son, Paul Ellis Mixon, had been placed in a Baptist Orphanage in Tanjipahoe Parish with Amite Bank & Trust Company appointed tutor. Aurelius E. Mixon was appointed under tutor, as he was a full brother to Michael Mixon, The Louisiana Trust and Savings bank of Baton Rouge was appointed, and qualified, as tutor to Robert Mixon and Natalie Mixon, Since Paul Ellis Mixon had been double orphaned, the following were listed as cousins to him: C. M. Mixon and Brice Mixon.
