A former officer of the Exchange National Bank, Tampa, FL, a former president of the First National Bank, St. Petersburg, FL, in 1958 he helped organize the City Bank and Trust Company of St. Petersburg, and was the bank's first president. An Atlanta banker referred to him as a great banker and "every inch a gentleman". Listed in several issues of "Who's Who in the South and Southwest". He m. Alma Claire Odell, dau. of Melvin Eugene and Emma G. Fletcher Odell, she d. Nov 17, 1975, bur. Nov 20, 1975, in a mausoleum, Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Petersburg, FL.

Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont, TX. She was dau. of Eugene and Caroline Hyatt Ratelle.
