Educated at Newberry College and at Bowen-McFeat Business College of Columbia. He is a Methodist and member of the Official Board and of the Methodist’s Men’s Club. He is also owner and operator of two farms. On Jun 7, 1928, he m. Jimmie Neal Lybrand – b. Apr 16, 1905, d. Sep 16, 1996, dau. of George Tillman Lybrand (1879 – 1936) and Myrtle Shull (1882 – 1959).
