Leon Solie Crawford “Lee” Mixon, s. of David A. Mixon and Polly Ann Whitehead, was b. Mar 27, 1888, d. Apr 3, 1976. He was a minister of the Gospel and served the Thurston, Florida, Free Will Baptist Church for over 55 years, during which time he received over 2000 members into the church throughout Southeast AL, and Northwest FL He also conducted several hundred funerals during his tenure of service with his church. On Nov 3, 1912 he m. Armissie Burch, b. May 4, 1895, d. Apr 4, 1970.  Both bur. Pleasant Home Free Will Baptist Cemetery, Black, Geneva County , AL. She was the dau. of Quincy and Margaret Hewell Burch.
