Alexander Hamilton Mixon, foster son of Francis Marion and Mary Elizabeth Scoggins Mixon, was b. Mar 22, 1887, d. Nov 9, 1936, at Birmingham and bur. in Elmwood Cemetery, Birmingham, Jefferson County, AL. His widow (who was still living when John Leslie Mixson talked to her) stated that her husband was a son of one of the sons of Francis Marion Mixon and his wife, who had married and lost his wife soon after the birth of their son and the child was taken and raised by his grandparents. On Jun 15, 1901, he m. at Vermontville, MI, Alma Electa Hawkins, b. Jun 16, 1885, d. Jul 11, 1976.
