Robert Russell Mixon, business man, banker, son of Alexendar and Betty Henley Mixon, was b. in Montgomery County, TN, Jun 24, 1895, d. Sep 6, 1986, m. Rebah Caphira Key, b. Apr 4, 1901, d. Apr 4, 1987, both bur. Smith County Memorial Gardens, Carthage, Smith County, TN. He had m. by 1933 and he and wife have no children. Their home is at Carthage, Smith County, where he was the partner in the Mixon-Nollner Oil Company, also Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Smith County Bank of Carthage.

 

Mr. Mixon did not know the name of his great-grandfather, but it was his understanding that his people came to Tennessee from Virginia or North Carolina just before or right after the Civil War.
