5435 ARTHUR J. MIXON, UNKNOWN
Arthur J. Mixon of Lincoln, Mass. (Copy of letter he had Written John N. Mixon, August 24, 1971).
Dear Sir:
This letter is in reply to our telephone conversation about our common last name. On the reverse side is an outline of our family tree as near as my father's memory permits it to be. I would appreciate any information you can give us about the name.
I talked to Thomas F. Mixon at 524-3621 and left him with your address. He was interested, but not in the get-together. The other number 969-2872 is that of Charles G. Mixter. No relation I assume.
Thomas F. gets the name from Nova Scotia and is of the opinion that Mixon came from northern Germany where the spelling of it was Mikzen and Wixon.
Yours
truly,
s/ Arthur J. Mixon
