VIDALIA, TOOMBS COUNTY, GEORGIA - Mrs. Leona Mixon Tyson Anderson McLendon, 98, of Vidalia died Monday, July 20, 2009. Mrs. McLendon was born in Johnson County and was preceded in death by her husbands, Andrew Tyson, Thomas Anderson, and Oliver McLendon; parents, Jack and Nellie Mae Webb Mixon. She was a homemaker and a member of North Thompson Baptist Church. Survivors include grandsons, David Tyson, Mike Tyson, and Andy Tyson; numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held in the Chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home, Vidalia at 11 o'clock Wednesday morning, July 22 with the Rev. Glenn Waters and Walt Davis officiating. Burial will be in Pinecrest Cemetery, Vidalia. Pallbearers will be Emory Mixon, David Price, Ronnie Tyson, Keith

Myrl Lee Mixon - Obituary

Myrl Harvey, 90, died Monday, March 3, 2008, at Bethany Home in Vidalia.

 

The Toombs County native had lived in Reidsville most of her life.

 

She was a homemaker and a seamstress. She volunteered as a Pink Lady at Tattnall Community Hospital and with the American Red Cross Bloodmobile. She was a member of Reidsville Baptist Church and Joy Sunday School Class.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Levy Harvey.

 

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Paul Haley of Rome and Vivian and Howard Wright of Lyons; two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Pat Harvey of Rome and Jerry and Faye Jo Harvey of Claxton; sister, Leona McLendon of Vidalia; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, at Reidsville Baptist Church, with the Rev. Carlton Duke and the Rev. Jimmy Smith officiating.

 

Interment was in Reidsville City Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers were Eddie Anderson, Jimmy Hattaway, Rabun Phillips, Bobby Collins, Danny Harvey, and Wendell Harvey.
