She died on Oct 23, 1965 in Richmond, VA.  Saraphine Mixon also went by the name of Saraphine "Sally" Mixon.  (She signed her letters to L.R. Mayo "Sally" so it may have just been a pet name he used for her. She married Lacy Rayfield Mayo, son of Carney Mayo and Deidema Jarvis on Dec 07, 1899 in South Creek, NC. He was born on Oct 09, 1853 in South Creek, Beaufort County, NC. He died on Apr 18, 1908 in Charleston, Charleston County, SC.
