Sarah Caroline Mixon, dau. of Benjamin H. and Elizabeth Ard Mixon (476), was b. in Amite County, MS, ca. 1836, d. 1920. On Dec 21, 1857 she m. in Bienville Parish, LA, Elijah Albert Price. He was b. in MS, in 1833, d. Jan 29, 1925, bur. Liberty Hill Cemetery, Liberty Hill, Bienville Parish, LA and was a member of Company "K" 28th (Gray's) Inf, C.S.A. His parole dated Jun 13, 1865 listed him as a resident of Winn Parish, however, family records state that the family lived in Bienville Parish. All following children were born there.
