Jan 21, 1971 at Nacogdoches, TX He was the son of Silas Abner and Eliza Bates Acrey.  Leila Mixon Acrey was awarded Vol. I, “The Mixon-Mixson Family” book for being the oldest living Mixon, or Mixon descendant, to attend the Mixon reunion held at Nacogdoches, TX, Sep 1, 1974.  Both bur. Cushing Cemetery, Cushing, Nacogdoches County, TX.  All following children were born in Cushing, TX.
