Jehu Mixon III, s. of Jehu and Fereby (Phereby) Woodham Mixon, was b. in Conecuh County, AL 1830, d. Dec 16, 1862 in TN, bur. Oakland Cemetery, Little Rock AR from black jaundice in the Confederate army during the Civil War. He was a member of the 11th TX Field Battalion. From The Family of Henry and Mary Brock 8-1-1970; there were 7 Mixon boys enlisted in the Confederate Army. The three single boys did not return. Huey died of measles during the war.  On Nov 25, 1847 he m. in Monroe County, AL, Cassinda Hines Middleton. They are listed in that county in the 1850 census with one child "Gatsy Ann".
