Jehu Mixon II, s. of Jehu and Fereby Belk Mixon, was b. in Darlington District, SC, May 27, 1798, d. Nov 17, 1881 in Conecuh County, AL, bur. in Mixons Beat, AL, early 1883.  He m. (1) in Darlington District, SC about 1820 to Phereby Woodham, b. Apr 13, 1805, d. 1878, dau. of Aris and Rachel Beasly Woodham, the latter making a will Sep 7, 1858, leaving a bequest to her daughter, Pheriba Mixon. Pheriba was b. ca. 1806, d. ca. 1878 in Conecuh County, AL They had a number of children, the first three of which were b. in SC Jehu moved to Conecuh County, AL ca. 1825, settling near his older brother, Nathan Mixon, obtaining land grants on the Sepulga river March 6, 1827.

Note: Jehu Mixon II d. early 1883. The Probate Court appointed an administrator to wind up the estate. All children of the deceased with their addresses were named in the proceedings except Aris W. Mixon and Marion W. Mixon2 Both were Confederate soldiers and so far as known, both returned home from the war. The both of them, no doubt, had died, childless, before the administration was made.

Simpson Mixon, s. of Jehu Mixon and wife, was b. in Darlington District, SC, Nov 11, 1802, d. Sep 10, 1837, bur. Hebron Methodist Church Cemetery, Bishopville, SC. About 1824 he m. Mariah _______.

Simpson Mixon executed his last will and testament on Sep 7, 1837 and named his wife and four children. Executors were Millby Mixon, his brother; Mariah Mixon, his wife; and Alfred Scarborough. The will was filed Jan 17, 1838. Final settlement was made Jan9, 1845. Mariah, the widow, had married a Mr. Josey. The personal property was appraised and divided into lots and given heirs as follows:
