Thomas Luther Hedgepeth, s. of James Irwin and Mattie Florence Colvin Hedgepeth, was b. in LA, Jul 8, 1879, d. Feb 24, 1959, bur. Cook Cemetery, Ruston, LA, Ruston, LA. On May 26, 1907, he m. Mary Alice Mitchell - b. Jan 22, 1887, dau. of Neroway Mitchell and Susan Colvin Mitchell. (They had lived at one time in Talladega County, AL)
Children:

7446 Mattie Maurine Hedgepeth - b. Feb9, 1908. She is a teacher in the LA school system, has B. S. from LA Tech. and M.S. from L.S.U.

7447 Mary Frances Hedgepeth - b. Jun 19, 1909 in Lincoln Parish, LA Has B. S. from LA Tech, and did graduate work at TX Women's Univ. Taught school for a few years, but now is radiological technologist for Drs. Carroll, Carlisle and Marshall, of Shreveport. She has made a very valuable contribution to this book, reading censuses, records in both Louisiana and Mississippi. In 1965, she had made a substantial contribution in a similar way for a COLVIN family book.

7450 John Tom Hedgepeth - b. Aug 2, 1920. He has a B. S. Degree from LA Tech and served four years in U. S. Navy, World War I) and is now a retired Lt. Comm. in U.S. Naval Reserve. Now (1967) employed by Department of Agriculture, MDSC. On Sep 21, 1946, he m. Dorothy Margaret Miller - b. Oct 8, 1919.
