I have fond memories of spending summer days on his farm. My grandfather was Carmel Mixon. A disciplined leaning forward type of a person. After his military career ended and after his sons passing (Mark Anthony), I became like a son to him. We spent many trips to LBJ and Port Lavaca just doing guy stuff and fishing. His military memories and discussions he shared with me are engraved in my mind., Jeffery Thomas Spangler”
