My mother, Barbara Junior Mixson, typed up and wrote the following in the preface to Rosalie Mixson's "Remembering" stories.  After seeing what Rosalie wrote, Barbara asked her mother, Waive Schwander Junior to write her remembering stories. Waive then wrote the stories listed below.

"My aim in typing this is to pass on to my children the history of the Mixson's. I hope that each one of you will begin to write down your life story, so that someday you will be able to add to this, then you will be able to pass it to your children and our family history will be preserved.
