Triumph Spitfire

In 1975 I bought this Triumph Spitfire from Bill Lassister who had bought it from a local car repair shop that specialized in Triumphs.  As seen above before I painted it, it was not your usual Spitfire.  The the Spitfire was a four cylinder convertible while the Triumph GT6 was a six cylinder hardtop.  The local Triumph repair shop combined the two, taking the Spitfire body and then putting the GT6 engine and bonnet on it.  It was a really fun car.  I had it about a year.  I had bought it with the purpose of fixing it up, painting it and selling it.  I don't remember how well I made out but I did end up making money on the deal.
