As a child my mother would have art projects for something for us kids to do on days it was too hot, cold or rainy to play outside. They would be simple projects using paper, crayons, paints or just clippings from magazines, stickers had not been invented yet, so we made our own from magazines. Sometimes we would make collections of drawings, “My Story Book”, “Pictures by Larry and David”. I remember when the Swiss Family Robinson movie came out (1960) I loved the tree house so much I got some brown wrapping paper and made a six by six foot drawing of the tree house.
