Larry 1954
Of course I don't remember much about these early years.  Here I am at one year old.  In 1953 my parents lived with there friends Betty and Billy (see Mom's diary) but at the end of 1953 we moved to a house on Hawthorne Road next to Donald and Irene Rick who had two boys Wayne and Sammy.  I do have some memories of this house and of playing with Wayne and Sammy.   One memory I have is getting a train that ran on a circular track for Christmas and Dad set it up for me and I remember playing with it Christmas day.  In 1957 Mom and Dad bought a new house on the other side of town, at 27 N.W. 36th Drive, and we moved there.  I have a vague memory of the move.  Dad borrowed Grandpa Mixson's truck and I remember riding in the back of the truck with everything being moved.  I lived in this house until I moved out after high school in 1971. Mom and Dad lived there for 40 years.  The childhood photos from this time bring a smile to my heart.
