Remembering by

1940 I was in 3rd grade. I remember these years going out to grandma and grandpa Schwander's house in Wayland and eating home made ice cream, which daddy and grandpa would churn sitting out on the back porch. I also remember eating grandma's homemade hot bread with lots of butter and sugar on it. I remember when us kids had Whopping Cough, Chicken Pox and Measles and the county would come around and put quarantine signs on the house and we had to stay in doors until they came back and checked us out.
