Dearest Morris

Gosh, what a day! Honest, I’ve never been so darn homesick as I’ve been today.  We got up about 9:30. Ate, went to see my great grand-mother, and an aunt & uncle and back here.  Ate and then loafed all day, wishing I were at Flemington.  Just think I would be with you now if we were down there.

Sue & daddy went to church in G.R. Mom doesn’t feel well so she didn’t go.  He wanted me to go too, but its’ a real big church and I’d had to wear hose and those darn high heels.  And I didn’t feel like dressing up.

Dick came over with his girlfriend for about an hour this afternoon.  I think he going to Wis. With us.  He is going to call tonight and let us know for definite.

Darling has it been hot today.  And I feel like a heathen, not going to church at all.

Helen went swimming with her boyfriend  about 2 hrs. ago.  I couldn’t go.  Today is Sun.

I suppose you are about ready to go to church now.  Sure wish I were going.  Wish we coming home tomorrow instead of going to Wis.  But I suppose you don’t even miss me, you do?  Darling, do you play pool?  I know Jimmy does, but I didn’t think you did!  Gosh, I’m about to cook, I’m so hot.

Honest, darling I felt like crying when I didn’t get a letter yesterday and only a short one the day before.  That old man (he’s really young) sat and kidded me cause Sue go one and I didn’t.  I mean the main in the post office.  Everytime I mail a letter he has something cute to say.  He makes me so mad!  I bet you’re having a big old time.  Darling, don’t you even think of me a little?

Well I must close for now.  Really nothing to say.  Darling, I love you.

Love ya' aways
Barbara

P.S.

Excuse this little but I’m homesick for you.  This darn pen!
           I love you.
