I told you I would write, didn’t believe me did you. I am in study
hall now, and I just finished learning a whole para of the
Declaration of Independence for English tomorrow. We have to write
it by heart, with all the punctuation! Tomorrow as a test. Oh, yes
I made a 100 on that Spanish today. (That’s what I get for
studying, Sue only made a 68 and she had to take it over?
We got home at 10 min to 12 last night, and I’ve had headache all
day to day. I do think my glasses need changing or something. In
American History, we had to write our autobiography and have it in
next week! More fun, if she wants all of our life I guess I’ll have
to write about you too, huh? After all, you are part of my life
aren’t you? (I’m crazy with the heat, so darling, excuse this
letter.) I’m about to cook now but it looks as if it might rain. I
bet you are really working hard right now. I hope someone has an
envelope so I can mail this this afternoon. Otherwise I can’t mail
it til tomorrow noon, but I’m still writing it today (Mon.) so I’ll
expect a letter from you Wed. or Thurs.
Darling, I bet you have met a hundred girls today, darn it I wish I
were going to the University, I’d take chemistry every period.
Would you like that? I bet you wouldn’t cause then I could keep my
eye on you, and you couldn’t flirt.
Oh, honestly I’m getting silly. I haven’t a thing to write about so
I’ll close. Do you still love me? Darling I’ll see you Sat. night
at 4 o’clock. Hope this week goes by fast.
Love you always
(really)
Barbara
P.S.
You had better answer or I’ll never write again! Excuse paper &
pencil its all I have.
