Dearest Darling,
Don’t think I’m going to write you every day now, cause I am not. I just finished washing my hair and I’m waiting for it to dry so I can roll it. Did you get my letter I wrote last night? I ought to get a letter from you at least tomorrow.
I didn’t go to play practice tonight cause the leader won’t be there, and besides I’m going to bed early for once. I suppose you and Arnold will just above be going to a show right now. Its’ ten to eight. I still have to work on my birthday, do my Spanish homework, roll my hair, and take my shower & polish my shoes.
We got our reports cards today and I made A in Spanish, English, Glee Club, and American History. I only made a B in gym. Just think if I would have made and A in gym I would have made all A’s!
Darling Sue got a letter addressed to Barbara in her letter this morning and it was from a boy at the University asking me to the Fall Frolic. And to spend the whole week-end up there. He even has me a hotel room, and we are to go to Daytona Beach Sat. after noon and to the big formal dance. He said Jimmy told him about me. Also to a football game and just everything! Crazy thing – mean Jimmy. I was just laughing and reading it to all the kids in Oklawaha as a big joke. All of a sudden Sue starts yelling, ad she had just read her letter and Jimmy told here it was for Barbara Eaton! Was I disappointed. Here I thought I would get to go to the Fall Frolics, and he didn’t even mean me. (just joking) Even if he did mean me I wouldn’t go.
Well darling I guess I’ll close for now as I have lots to do, and I’m sleepy. Don’t run out every night with Arnold and then don’t feel like coming up Fri. night. I expect to see you Friday night. I really did miss you yesterday and today. I’ll be glad when next Sept. come. Won’t you? (if you will still have me.) Darling, I still love you, so I’ll close.
Love you forever & forever,
Yours only,
Barbara
P.S.
I love you,
I love you,
I love you.
