Dearest Darling
I am in study hall, and
I just now have found time to write you. I have been meaning
to write you every day this week. I did
finish my Am. History term paper this morning. 38 typed
pages. Now I have only my 6 week exam to finish &
my notebook & I’ll be through.
We got our caps & gowns today.
Do I ever look silly in them!
At noon today we practiced marching down
the aisle. Joyce is first & I’m second, as she is
valedictorian and I’m salutatorian. Mon.
I was never so sleepy in my life. All day during classes
I took brief naps. That night I went to be at seven &
got up Tues. at seven. Then last night I went to the revival
in Weirsdale. We got home 10 min. after 11. And today
I’m sleepy again. I was O.K. until this afternoon, and
now I have a headache.
Tomorrow we are going to town.
I hope to get a dress & a bathing suite. Darling,
you are coming up Fri. night, aren’t you? I don’t remember
if you said you would, or would not.
Last night they had a picture at church.
It was pretty good. It was on alcoholic drinks.
Sue has been here all week. Mom &
dad are taking her home Fri. nite. They will probably
leave before you come so I’ll stay at home and wait for you.
Well, I have to work some more on history
so I’ll close for now. Oh, yes, Brother Lavender ate supper
with us last nite. Thrill, thrill!! Bye now and
remember I still love you lots & lots. It won’t be
too long now until I won’t have to write you letters, will it.
You know I haven’t heard from this whole month. But I
still love you.
All my love
Barbara
P.S.
Still love me?
Sue has been discouraging me all week on getting married!!
She says she'd never get married again. I wonder why??
Do you know what the letters stand for on the envelop?
Try & Guess them. I'm looking for a letter.
