Dearest darling,

Well today is Tues. and you are supposed to write me and me you, so here I go.  I hope you don’t forget.

Did you get home O.K. Sunday nite?  Gosh when I got up Mon. morning I was never so sick in my life.  I came out here to open up, & daddy went down to the store, and I threw up everything I ate Sun.  (I guess) Boy was I ever sick to my stomach.  But I was O.K. after a while.

I just finished writing Shirley, and Barbara Eaton.  Yesterday I read all day.  That book the trio gave me.  It was pretty good.

Darling do you miss me?  How did it seem to get up and not have me around?   Good or bad??

It seems funny not to have you around.  I didn’t go to church last nite nor am I going tonight.  I’m going to wash my hair tonight.  I think I’ll go tomorrow nite though.

An old nigger just stopped and priced everything in the yard.  Guess what he bought?  A little snake!!  Yesterday I did quite a bit of business, but I haven’t done much yet today.  But it’s only about 10:30 now.  Daddy, Corky, and Gary went somewhere about an hour ago and they haven’t come back yet.

We got a letter from Sue this morning & she said Jimmy didn’t every want to think about job in Ocala.  And that they are getting and apartment in McIntosh.  It made mom mad!!

Well darling I’ve told you all there is to tell so I’ll close.  I still love you lots & lots & lots.

Your beloved finance
Barbara

P.S.

  Still love me?
I’m looking or a letter.

P.S.S.
   I’ll see you Sat. afternoon.
