Dearest Darling,

Honey I didn’t know if I should write or not.  I didn’t much think you would go.  I got your letter this morning it may have come in yesterday but I didn’t look.  Anyway I got it sooner didn’t have to wait until tonight.

Darling Russ thinks I’ll get to be what he is some day.  I don’t guess he’ll go into the Navy.  He says the big boss can’t last much longer, he’s pretty old.  The boy, or man rather he’s 30, that works with me got drunk Mon nite and didn’t come to work until Wed noon as was Russ mad.  Sure did work me too.     

Darling not much longer to go.  You know we could almost get married now.     

Darling lets get married the first of Nov. for sure and maybe the first of Oct.  We won’t need much the first month anyway.  Anything would be better than the way it is now.
