My dearest darling,
Do you realize that exactly one month from tonight that
we’ll be married? I can hardly believe it.
Darling, I saw the woman about my announcement. She didn’t get into
the office until the next day, and it was too late to go in, but it
will be in this Sun. paper for sure.
Honey, I have 6 box tops. If I had $6 I could get a lot of silver
ware (Hint, hint.) I could have a set of four in knives, forks,
teaspoons, ice tea spoons, and tablespoons. Wouldn’t you like
that? All I need is $6.00 not much, huh?
Oh, darling I got a job. Katherine went to Orlando to live with her
folks ( I didn’t know they had move, did you?) and so I am helping
out until they get someone else. Today was my first day. I only
worked until noon as there isn’t much to do. I did feel awfull
anyway about dad giving me $10 a week and not doing a thing to earn
it. The Youth For Christ will pay me $100 now. Honestly there
isn’t hardly any work to it.
I got a letter from Barbara Eaton today. Just a lot of gossip. I
also saw Jean & Joan and they want me to eat lunch with them
tomorrow. Think I will.
Mom & dad went to St. Pete. Mon. and got back last nite. I cooked
too and it wasn’t bad. Anyway no one died or got indigestion!
I sorta look for you up tonite – no tomorrow nite. I forgot you
worked late tonite.
Mom bought me a real cute red crodroy dress, (out of my money, of
course) but it’s too little in the bust. It’s a size 9 so darling I
MUST be getting bigger. Carol and I are going to trade, as mine just
fits her. The only trouble is I like mine the best and mine cost $2
more than hers.
Well honey I’ll close, and I’ll bet a kiss you don’t write me.
All my love & kisses always
Barbara
P.S.
Do yu love me yet?
I love you.

held at and old theater in downtown Ocala.
