Thursday
we got ready – packed and washed and dried clothes (Brenda’s washer
is automatic but takes almost two hours to do a load – and the drier
takes over one hour for a very small load.) to get ready for our
week end trip to Bad Ischl. Then Brenda remembered that a “Fest” or
fair was here in town, so we picked up Kristopher from Kindergarden
at 4:00 and went down by the River to it. It was like a big fair
except they sold more things like shoes and clothes. We ate
delicious Bar-B-Que chicken (1/2) and French fries under a tent the
size of a football field. (There were two more of these big beer
halls there) It was a “beer hall” with a live 25 piece band in the
center. All were dressed in Austrian outfits (red and white) with a
girl singer. They were loud, drinking beer, playing, and singing.
All the picnic tables had red and white table clothes and the
waitress’s were middle age to elderly women. It was all great and I
loved it! (P.S. Morris just had to try the beer!) We take all three
of the boys everywhere and I can’t believe how good Andrew is. He
loves to be pushed in his carriage and he rarely cries (only when
he’s hungry).
