Fort Tatham - Gainesville

To go to Fort Tatham for the summer.  (Pulled trailer with golf cart and loaded with suit cases, drinks, plants & car loaded down with clothes & miscellaneous stuff)  Left at 5:13 AM – still dark out.
Gass $1.53 in GA!  Very high

Left Ft. Tatham 6:00 AM 7/9/01
(Dixie & Bab rode home with us) Went home, Morris has eye doctor appointment and needs to go to the dentist.  (Had tooth pulled) Also we traded our 1999 Toyota Avalon, color pearl grey (or silver).  Home to Dixies at 3:30 PM & to our house at 4:00 PM.  Not bad for traffic – very, very hot & humid in G’ville.

New car – July 9, 2001
  Toyota Avalon
  Silver or pearl grey

*Note: Mom and Dad bought the Toyota Avalon from the car dealership in Gainesville who then had it delivered to them at Fort Tatham.

Sunday Oct. 7, 2001
Left Ft. Tatham at 7:10 AM after winterizing it.  Very cold all these past 2 weeks.  Down to the 30’s & 40’s every morning but really nice by noon.  The leaves are just beginning to turn-really hat to leave this early, but I’ve go a lot to do for grandma Mixson’s 100th birthday party on Oct. 20.  Next Sat. we are going to Brenda & Toms (Blountstown, Fl.) and on Sunday we are going to the Mixson reunion (these are the Mixsons from West Florida)  Paid $1.89 for gas in Georgia!  Very cheap – Zella Mae & Monroe are leaving Wed. & Betty & Billy are next week-end.  (Brought 4 boxes of apples & 2 boxes of tomatoes) Apples $12.00 and tomatoes $6.00 (What a bargain)
