Blountstown

Thurs. Nov, 7, 2002
  Went to visit Brenda & Tom in Blountstown, FL.  (For Brenda’s birthday Sunday (She’ll be 51 years) (188 miles from home) 3 hrs. 20 min.  Sunny & cool 60° - beautiful.  Thurs. nite Breda fixed roast beef, onions, carrots & potatoes in her slow cooker.  She got home from school about 3:45. Friday she had to go to school so Morris & I took a ride to Mariana – had lunch at Sonny’s Bar B Q & went to Walmart & a couple of furniture stores looking for a mattress & box spring for the beach house.  Andrew got here about 3:15. Went out to eat at this dumpy chicken & fries place. Sat. Sleep late & left about 11:15 AM to go see the progress on their beach house at Mexico Beach.  Got a lot of it done.  Pored the driveway this week
 
Maybe it will be finished by Christmas.  Went out to eat at this seafood place right on the Gulf of at Mexico Beach. Morris & I treated $105 (with the tip)! Expensive, but good (it was for Brenda’s Birthday!) Went home by the way of Panama City.  Listed to the radio (Gators vs Vanderbilt) We won but was close 12 to 17) Ha sandwiches for supper.  I finished a book I was reading.
 
Sunday – went to church the out to eat in Bristol (across the river) Had shrimp very good.  Left at 2:15 pm for Gainesville.

Monday Dec. 23, 2002
Left at 11:20 AM to go to Blountstown for Christmas at Brenda & Tom’s.  Ate at Sonny’s in Alachua.  Left there at 12 noon. Arrived 3:10 pm – 3 hrs. 10 min. 175 miles.
 
  Had a great time.  Left Fri. 12-27-02 to go home.  Left at 10:40 AM – Been sunny & right cold since Christmas day.  Dark clouds & lots of wind & rain all day on the 23rd & 24th & Beth, Mark, Zack, Coral, Katie & Shannon (Coral’s friend) go there about noon on the 25th Had smoked turkey & a port roast for dinner.
